Summary

After finishing mi Msc I decided that I wanted to translate my knowledge and acquired skills into products and technologies that can improve people's quality of life. Therefore, I joined several entrepreneurship programmes. I joined Kickstart Global a startup accelerator for students and partnered up with 3 other likeminded students and founded UroSense.

At UroSense we are interested in tackling catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). CAUTIs occur within national hospitals, care homes, and the community, creating a £100M economic burden on the NHS annually. Moreover, studies show that harm resulting from urinary catheters accounts for more than 2000 deaths every year in the UK.

In parallel to Kickstart Global I completed the UCL Innovation and Enterprise Explore your idea programme and won the pitch competition for our UroSense project.
